Kim Martin, CPA:
Kim, a native Seattle resident, graduated from Western Washington University in 1999 with her B.A. in accounting. Shortly thereafter she moved back to Seattle and began practicing public accounting.
After graduation, Kim was employed several years at McGladrey & Pullen performing compilations, audits and reviews of various types of businesses, in addition to assisting clients with taxes compliance and planning.
Kim later spent several years at Pacific Northwest Bank and Vulcan in their respective financial reporting departments.
Missing the challenges of public accounting as well as diverse client interaction, Kim left Vulcan and started Metropolitan Accounting Services in 2006.
Jon Martin, CPA:
Jon also is a native to Seattle. After graduating from the University of Washington in 1997, Jon began practicing public accounting at Arthur Andersen, working primarily with large real estate partnerships and wireless companies.
Jon has since worked for several local firms, helping professional service organizations, closely held businesses, entertainers, high net-worth individuals and real estate enterprises. He joined Kim in early 2010, and has thirteen years of public accounting experience.
Jon works with all types of clients, big and small, and believes providing value to the client in excess of the cost to them is the goal of every relationship. He has significant expertise working with closely held businesses, solving their tax and accounting problems, as well as assisting them with strategic planning decisions.
Jon and Kim are married and live in Ravenna with their son, Jagger and dog, Millie.
